Where is Poppy Hills located?

Poppy Hills Golf Course is located at 3200 Lopez Road, Pebble Beach, CA 93953. It is in Pebble Beach, California nestled among the Monterey Pines of the Del Monte Forest on the Monterey Peninsula. View a map and directions.

How do I enter Pebble Beach at the gate?

Pebble Beach is a gated incorporated community, and upon entry from one of four gate locations, you will need to mention your tee time or business at Poppy Hills. Poppy Hills is not affiliated with Pebble Beach Company, and you will not need to pay a fee to enter.

Tee Times FAQs

What are the policies and rules for play at Poppy Hills?

I’m an NCGA member. How can I access member tee times online?

NCGA members are required to create a new login credential to access Poppy Ridge member tee times (see detailed instructions). If you already have Poppy Hills login credentials, you can log in and book here .

Can I book a tee time online or over the phone?

Yes, Poppy Hills tee times can be booked up to 90 days in advance online or by calling the Golf Shop at (831) 622-8239.

Are single bookings permitted online?

Singles can only be booked online if there are two or three players in a current tee time. Single players cannot book into a fully open tee time at any time online. Singles can call the Golf Shop at (831) 622-8239 within 24 hours for access to a fully open tee time. Please note that singles will first be added to a group of two or three, as groups are given the priority to book fully open tee times.

What are the hours of operation for the driving range?

From sunrise to 12pm, both guests and NCGA Members can use the driving range one hour prior to their tee time.

Additionally, we hold practice hours, during which the driving range is available for NCGA Members ONLY. Practice hours are as follows:

Monday: 12pm to 2:30pm
Tuesday–Sunday: 12pm to 4pm

How many carts are allowed per tee time?

There is a maximum of two carts per group.

Do you allow fivesomes?

Groups of more than four persons are not allowed on the course, no exceptions.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a 48-hour advance notice to cancel any tee times, including any reduction in the number of players. If the reservation is not canceled more than 48 hours in advance, the cardholder will be responsible for all applicable green fee charges in full. Additionally, changes to tee times must be made more than 48 hours in advance. Cancellation emails will be sent for all canceled tee times. Golfers must keep the email on file as proof of cancellation. Upcoming reservations are maintained within your online profile. Our 48-hour cancellation and no-show policy is strictly enforced.

What is the dress code?

Golf dress code enforced.

Do you have a 9-hole rate?

9-hole rates are not available currently.

How old do you have to be to drive/rent a golf cart?

Golfers must have a valid driver’s license available at the time of renting a golf cart. All drivers must drive safely and responsibly. All golf carts must follow any local or special circumstance rules designated by the Golf Shop Staff and be returned at least 15 minutes before sunset.

Can I cancel my tee time on the day of my reservation?

Do you allow animals/pets on the property?

Animals and pets are not allowed on the course or in the clubhouse at any time. Service animals may be allowed with pre-approval from the Management Team.

Can I bring my own food and beverage?

Personal coolers, glass containers and bottles are not allowed on the course at any time. Outside food and beverage articles are prohibited at Poppy Hills Golf Course. Golfers in violation of this policy will be asked to leave the course, and potentially lose their future playing privileges.

Rates FAQs

What are the rates at Poppy Hills?

You can view NCGA member and non-member green fees, course yardages, and slope and ratings for both men and women on our Rates page.

When is the Youth on Course rate available?

Youth on Course members can book the following tee times, within a 72-hour booking window:

March–October: 
Weekdays only (Monday–Friday)
2:30, 2:40, or 2:50 PM 

November–February:
Weekdays only (Monday–Friday)
12:30, 12:40, or 12:50 PM

Note: Subject to availability. Youth on Course reservations must be made in person or over the phone; online bookings are not valid at the Youth on Course rate. Youth on Course rate is walking only.

What is the dress code?

Poppy Hills Club Membership FAQs

How long is my membership active?

Annual membership is valid for one year from the date joined.

How much does it cost?

The Poppy Hills Club Annual Membership Fee is $99.

What are the benefits?

Can another golfer use my membership benefits?

Program discounts, points, and other benefits are not transferable and only available to active members.

How do I earn points?

Poppy Hills Club members earn one point for every dollar spent at both NCGA-owned courses: Poppy Ridge in Livermore, California, and Poppy Hills in Pebble Beach, California.

Can I play at any time?

Tee times are subject to availability, and additional blackout dates and times may apply.

What can I use my points towards?

Points are redeemable for complimentary rounds of golf at either NCGA-owned course.

How many points does it take to redeem a complimentary round?

Dining and Shopping FAQs

What are Porter’s hours?

Porter's Grill & Pub is open Sunday to Thursday from 7am to 3:30pm (bar until 5pm), and Friday to Saturday from 7am to 4:30pm (bar until 5pm). Please see our Event Calendar for scheduled closures due to private events.

What are your other food and beverage options?

For quick snacks at the turn or anytime, you can visit the Snack Bar or grab a quick drink at the On-Course Beverage Cart. Both are open daily; hours vary.

How do I make reservations for Porter's?

We provide walk-in seating only. Feel free to walk in, sit down, and enjoy!

What do you serve at Porter's?

Do you serve breakfast?

Yes, our breakfast menu is available daily until 11am.

How do I order takeout?

Call us to place a takeout order or use the Birdie Delivery App.

Can I order ahead of time?

Yes! The Birdie Delivery App allows you to quickly and easily place your order ahead of time for pick-up or dine-in. Find out more on our Place an Order page.

Can I order for a large group?

Yes! We welcome large groups. If your group is larger than 10, please call ahead so we can prepare for your arrival.

Is Porter's open to the public?

Absolutely! All guests are welcome to dine at Porter’s Grill and Pub. It’s popular among golfers and non-golfers alike!

Are animals allowed at Porter's?

Service animals are welcome.

Can I host a group golf outing at Poppy Hills?

Absolutely! Our professional staff hosts hundreds of events each year, from NCGA championships, casual golf outings, and associate club tournaments to charity fundraisers and banquets. How far in advance can I book my group outing?

You can book your group outings up to one year in advance.

How many guests can I host?

We can accommodate groups of 16 to 100 golfers.

Does Poppy Hills host and cater weddings?

Poppy Hills and Porter’s Grill & Pub do not host weddings, but we do host events for wedding-related celebrations, such as bridal showers and rehearsal dinners.

Depending on the specifics and on-site location of the event, our maximum capacity ranges from 30 to 130 guests.
